Fungiculture
Fungiculture is the skill regarding growing mushrooms. The skill was added to the game with the 2021 anniversary event in July, 2021.
Guide
Fungiculture experience can come from growing mushrooms, crushing mushrooms with a mortar and pestle to make mushroom spores, captcha, and a tiny bit from watering sawdust.
Crushing mushrooms
Russula and dark mushrooms are the only mushrooms that can be bought directly from an NPC (in Whiland). Crushing mushrooms can sometimes yield two mushroom spores.

Fungiculture is very similar to Farming, where instead of placing seeds on soil, mushrooms spores are placed on sawdust plots. To grow mushrooms with the Fungiculture skill, you need access to your Player Island's dungeon. The dungeon ladder uses 200 fir logs, 200 oak logs, and 200 maple logs and requires level 30 Carpentry. Mushroom spores come from NPCs (up to morel mushroom spores) and Mob drops.
Sawdust
Sawdust
Sawdust craft window
Sawdust uses 30 willow logs and 45 oak logs, and requires level 30 Carpentry. Sawdusts can only be crafted and placed while in the dungeon, not on the surface level of a Player Island. Once the sawdust is placed, it needs to be watered with a watering can or multi-tool before you can plant mushroom spores on it.
Watering
Many players find it convenient to have a water tank in their dungeon for Fungiculture. There are three types of water tanks: bronze (100 units of water), iron (150 units), and gilded (300 units). To add water to a water tank, a player's watering can or multi-tool needs to be full of water, otherwise using the water tank will attempt to take water from it. Water tanks can be moved without the water emptying, but removing it back into the player chest does empty it of its water.
