Mining is the gathering skill upon which the skills Alchemy, Jewelry and Forging are founded. Ores are mined from veins which can be smelted at a furnace to create crafting materials. If you have the ores, the level necessary to use them and the proper materials for the item you are attempting to make, you can smelt them into next level ingredients.

To smelt ores that you have mined you must equip them and use them at a furnace:

Mining Guild

Located near Dorpat Town is the Ladder down to the Dungeon I sub-zone known as the Mining Guild. To enter the Mining Guild requires having a Mining Guild Permission (Lv65 Mining) equipped. This permit can be bought in Cesis or Hell from the Blacksmith (NPC) for 98,000 Coins.

The maximum chances for all ores are 100% minus the gem chances and for gems the success chances are fixed. Every +1 level above the required one, the success chances for ores increase by +1%.

Powerleveling

This list assumes the player is attempting to get the highest xp/hr for Mining by destroying the gems/ores, so any time dedicated to depositing materials is not considered.

• Clay: Levels 1 - 25
• Silver Chunk: Levels 26 - 39
• Coal: Levels 40 - 49
• Kaolinite Clay: Levels 50 - 90
• Blood Crystal: Levels 91+

If you don't want to mine Blood Crystals in No Man's Land:

• Silver Chunk: Levels 26 - 39
• Coal: Levels 40 - 49
• Kaolinite Clay: Levels 50 - 107 (or 113)
