These fishing spots can be found in Fellin Island, the Illusion Guild, and Whiland. Catching a deep sea octopus rewards 100 Fishing experience.

A player with level 80 Cooking can cook it into a Cooked Deep Sea Octopus on a Campfire with an initial success rate of 30%; the success rate can be increased to a maximum of 100% with an increased Cooking level (capping at level 150). Successfully cooking a spiny sea star rewards 200 Cooking experience.
